Certification Procedure after joining as a TAPA member

For certification, all members can apply for FSR level C or TSR level 3 or GSR level 3.

  • There is no requirement to appoint any TAPA Approved Independent Audit Bodies (IAB).
  • The Management Representative (MR) need to attend the training by TAPA Asia Pacific to get certified as TAPA AA (Authorised Auditor) and then conduct a self-certification auditing of your facility.
  • Submit the audit report together with the self-certification submission form(download here) to TAPA Asia Pacific Secretariat at self-certification@tapa-apac.org to process the application. This process is to be repeated for Year 2 and Year 3 annual audit.
  • If the completed audit results in a satisfactory score, TAPA Asia Pacific will issue the respective e-certificate for FSR level C or TSR level 3 or GSR level 3 accordingly.
  • Each certification is valid for 3 years.
  • You need to renew your TAPA membership yearly and also send in the self-assessment report for year 1 and year 2 in order to keep your certification valid.

For FSR level A, B, or C OR TSR level 1, 2 or 3 certification though TAPA Approved Independent Audit Bodies:

  • TAPA-approved auditors use the highest FSR standards when auditing transportation supply chain facilities.
  • Companies in need of certification must contact one of the approved firms which can be found at our TAPA Asia Pacific website: https://www.tapa-apac.org/approved-independent-audit-body/ to schedule an audit.
  • The company requesting the audit pays all audit costs.
  • Your appointed IAB will conduct the auditing for you and submit the report on your behalf to TAPA Asia Pacific Secretariat to process the application. Please note that the Management Representative is still required to attend the training conducted by TAPA Asia Pacific to get certified as TAPA AA (Authorised Auditor) for Year 2 and Year 3 annual audit and shall be submitted to IAB during report approval.
  • If the completed audit results in a satisfactory score, TAPA Asia Pacific will issue the appropriate FSR level A, B, or C OR TSR level 1, 2 or 3 certificate through the auditing firm.
  • Each certification is also valid for 3 years.
  • You need to renew your TAPA membership yearly and also send in the self-assessment report for year 1 and year 2 in order to keep your certification valid.
